CD Predator
Iomega has launched an upgrade to its Predator range of CD-RW drives, the Predator 40x24x40; a USB 2.0 CD-RW drive for burning CDs for backup.
Iomega claim it has the highest re-write speed on the market today. It is compatible with Macs and PCs and comes with their Hotburn CD software, it also includes their Overburn technology, which they claim produces 870 megabytes from a standard CDR. A USB 2.0 data cable is also included into the package.
Users of the new device will need a separate USB 2.0 card installed, without this the Predator will not achieve the 40x24x40 speeds. Iomega is not bundling this as part of the package.
The Predator is available in Australia now for AU$399.
