Australians top the bill in London

Australians may queue the streets to see the latest shows or films from London, but information managers in the UK will be queuing to see what Australia has to say on document and records management.

Len Asprey of Practical Information Management Solutions and academic Michael Middleton from Queensland University of Technology will play a pivotal role in the Info@ event, being conducted by AIIM International Europe in London on 19th/20th November 2002.

Mr Asprey and Mr Middleton have collaborated on a new book Integrative document and content management: strategies for exploiting enterprise knowledge, which will form the basis of their discussions; Mr Asprey will open the conference in Hammersmith with an address on "specifying your requirements and selecting your supplier for Document and Records Management Applications." Mr Middleton will co-present the same session the following day.

Key to their presentations will be analysing and defining requirements for an integrated information systems for managing document, Web content and documentary records. They will also discuss the structure of a requirements specification and the strategies for obtaining the software.

Mr Asprey said he will also be chairing a panel titled "Make it All Happen", which is an opportunity for users, suppliers and consultants to discuss the subject.

The November and December issue of Image & Data Manager magazine features and exclusive extract of the book. To get your copy subscribe online.
