Laserfiche Releases Rio

August 12, 2008: Laserfiche has launched what it is calling a new take on enterprise content management, promising a flexible, scalable and streamlined solution with Rio.

According to Laserfiche CEO Nien-Ling Wacker, the ECM industry has been deluged with complex and difficult-to-implement systems that have been cobbled together from many different products.

Wacker says that Rio transcends product boundaries to unite document management, business process management and transparent records management in a single enterprise solution.

With Rio, organisations purchase named user licenses which provide a full range of ECM functionality, including workflow automation, Web-based document management, audit trail tracking, DoD 5015.2-certified records management and capture tools that unify disparate content.

The company says that Rio also includes an unlimited number of Laserfiche Servers and repositories, enabling organisations to use to support back ups, failover clusters, testing environments and multiple locations.

“We design our products to make complex systems simpler,” said Wacker. “Rio provides what enterprises have been looking for - an intuitive, easy-to-use ECM system that builds on their existing Microsoft infrastructure.”
