Objective Makes NZ Deal

Office of the Privacy Commissioner Heats Up

January 24, 2008: With all the focus on privacy laws and data disclosure, it’s no surprise that any vendor who manages to land a contract with a Privacy Commissioner’s office must be well regarded and that’s exactly what Objective have managed to achieve.

New Zealand’s Officer of the Privacy Commissioner has chosen Objective’s enterprise content management solution to assist in its role to protect New Zealand citizen’s privacy.

Gary Bulog, general manager at the OPC says it’s important for the organisation to be at the forefront of sound information management practices, given its role in advocating and promoting the responsible use of information.

Objective emerged as the front runner from a competitive tender in a triumph that follows in the wake of several major contracts for Objective, including the National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority and the Welsh Assembly Government.

“Only two of the respondents demonstrated they were able to handleour case management requirement as part of their core document and records management capability,” says Bulog.

“We were looking for rapid adoption of the new solution therefore the system needed to be easy to implement and easy to use. Objective was seen to be the easiest transition for our staff, requiring minimal change management.”
