EzeScan adds InfoXpert 8.0 support
April 2, 2009:Outback Imaging has released its EzeScan Integration with infoXpert eDRMS version 8.0, leveraging all of the advanced features of both Australian products.
By utilising APIs, EzeScan enables images to be integrated seamlessly into infoXpert easily and effectively, with no scripting needed.
This means an easy “out of the box solution” that can be used with any Twain device (i.e. MFD copier or dedicated scanner) to provide an effective way to batch scan forms, documents and invoices.
As EzeScan has a modular design there are three possible integration methods with the infoXpert system.
* Use EzeScan PRO to scan 1 or more documents and place the output files into a local document queue where they can be imported into infoXpert using the infoXpert import tool. EzeScan can also OCR, rotate images, PDF and delete blank pages automatically.
* Use EzeScan PRO to scan one or more documents and profile each document directly into infoXpert from EzeScan. Document registration is initiated from within EzeScan itself using the EzeScan EDRMS infoXpert registration form. This provides a quick method of profiling batches of unstructured or structured documents into infoXpert.
* The EzeScan DM Bundle combines the previous options 1 and 2 with the additional flexibility of being able to scan and profile documents, forms & invoices directly into infoXpert from EzeScan, bypassing the need to use the standard infoXpert registration form.
The KFI module indexing process replaces the infoXpert registration form. The UPLOAD module can upload each document into infoXpert automatically without displaying a registration form.
With this configuration you can type in a field value, choose a lookup list value, or capture field values from documents using the inbuilt OCR module, or optional BCR or ICR modules, then populate the infoXpert index fields. You also have the choice to reuse fields automatically, or auto populate, thereby saving considerable time not having to reselect the same values.
This option provides the fastest method for profiling batches of documents into infoXpert. Buy the modules you need today, safe in the knowledge that you can purchase an upgrade for other modules, likeBarcoding or ICR, at a later time.
EzeScan also supports advanced infoXpert features including: Workflows; Document Retention; and redacted versions for FOI requests including forms redaction and mark up histories
