Colligo integrates Integrate SharePoint into Mac Finder

Colligo has launched Briefcase for Mac, claimed to be the world’s first product to integrate SharePoint into Finder, providing Mac users with a seamless SharePoint experience.

It provides organisation-wide availability of SharePoint enterprise content management on any desktop, laptop and handheld device.

“The Colligo Briefcase product suite extends capabilities offered by Microsoft’s OneDrive for Business (formerly SkyDrive Pro) solution by including support for a broad range of platforms – including Mac, iOS and Windows – allowing connectivity to both on-premise and cloud-based SharePoint, and providing advanced ECM features such as email management and metadata,” says Trevor Dyck, Director, Product Management, Colligo.

Where Mac users may have previously relied on thumb drives or unmanaged emails that in turn had repercussions on version management and reconciliation of documents, Briefcase for Mac brings Mac users into the company’s SharePoint ecosystem. Documents can now be managed from creation through revision to approval with no detours.

 

Briefcase for Mac allows users to drag and drop emails from all major email clients in order to upload and manage them through SharePoint integration with Finder. This feature also automatically extracts email metadata and uses renaming to avoid duplication.
