Tag team tackles SharePoint records management

Collabware has announced it will enhance its content lifecycle management product for SharePoint with Concept Searching’s expertise in semantic metadata generation, auto-classification, and taxonomy management.

Graham Sibley, CEO of Collabware, stated, “We are very excited about our partnership with Concept Searching, as our combined solutions deliver the complete package for tagging and classifying content, and declaring and managing records within SharePoint that enterprises have been calling out for.”

Concept Searching’s intelligent metadata solutions are used for improving search, records management, and text analytics. Concept Searching’s conceptClassifier product enables Collabware CLM’s rules engine to take over as soon as the content lands in SharePoint. Once the content is in SharePoint, the records-manager-controlled, yet end-user transparent, content lifecycle management processes take effect to ensure compliance.

Martin Garland, President of Concept Searching, commented, “The combination of effective enterprise-wide metadata management with robust document lifecycle management is a unique value proposition for enterprises struggling with their records management initiatives.

"This solution eliminates the end user burden of tagging, ensures consistency, compliance, adds metadata-based security and full management of the document lifecycle within SharePoint. We are particularly pleased to be partnering with Collabware on this initiative and to be able to offer an industry unique solution for records management in SharePoint.”
