e.law makes room for corporate collaboration in Dataroom

e.law Asia has unveiled new Secure Dataroom software product; designed for collaboration on complex corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.

Hosted locally in Australia, this web based software (SaaS) provides a secure, collaborative platform and maintains an audit trail of all document access and changes to meet corporate and regulatory compliance objectives.

Access rights are applied to documents saved in the Dataroom and protect the documents even after they have been downloaded to the users' local computers. Users are not required to install any plug-ins; all that is required is an Internet connection and a browser.

Offered exclusively by e.law in Australia and New Zealand, the e.law Secure Dataroom is powered by online data room software Brianloop. This offers full document rights management (RMS) with both Adobe LiveCycle and Microsoft RMS, described as a standard in Europe and well established in North America.

Hundreds of companies world-wide such as ThyssenKrupp, Sky, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fujitsu and BMW Group trust the Brainloop software with their confidential information.

"Our decision to partner with Brainloop aligns with our strategy to cover the much wider area of document compliance. It enables us to offer so much more than traditional due diligence virtual data rooms" says Mark Petty, head of software products at e.law. "Our customers can now take advantage of the built in document collaboration tools, while increasing security."
