WindowLogic looks at the law

WindowLogic, an Australian provider of document management software and custom applications, has announced the release of Logic4Outlook, an information management solution for law firms and professional services organisation.

The new offering promises seamless desktop integration of Microsoft Outlook, Worksite, Practice Management and Customer Relationship Management.

It aims to provide law firms with access to key business system information from a single interface.

Developed by WindowLogic in conjunction with a team of Sydney-based CRM4Legal experts, Logic4Outlook is based on a Microsoft Outlook accelerator that provides seamless integration between the firm’s key business applications and enables organisations to benefit from maintaining one central repository for documents and information.

For example, on selecting a matter workspace in the Autonomy Worksite desktop management suite, Logic4Outlook can automatically display key information from the firm’s practice management system as well as financial and CRM contact information via a customised information panel.

With the new Logic4Outlook solution, users are also able to view all CRM4Legal’s opportunity and pitch information from Worksite, as well as contact and financial information for each recipient on an email.

There is no need to go into CRM4Legal as all information required is displayed automatically and unobtrusively. Configurable tabs and fields allow administrators to display any other information maintained within CRM4Legal, as required, even if the user does not have CRM4Legal installed locally.

“Logic4Outlook is a perfect companion to CRM4Legal that will allow any or all of the information maintained within CRM4Legal to be displayed in a iManage workspace. Users just click to record an email or document right into CRM4Legal from iManage or from CRM4Legal into iManage, all from within Outlook. This saves time and ensures robust document version control,” says Greg Brown, Director, WindowLogic.

The solution uses a four-tier architecture model that separates the “front-end” presentation layer from the integration, business logic and data access layers. This provides greater flexibility and scalability especially in the speed of accessing and displaying information.

“The Logic4Outlook product development delivers great benefits to law firm users,” says David Blumentals, CRM4Legal Consultant and Director, Asia Pacific.

“CRM4Legal user adoption is greatly enhanced as CRM data is viewed each time iManage is accessed. Integration reduces the time it takes to navigate to CRM4Legal data as users can just click the link to open their CRM records.”
