June 30th, 2006: Global Storage, an Australian supplier of data storage and security solutions, has worked with DataCore to develop a portfolio of offerings to meet growing customer demands for consolidation, virtualisation and disaster recovery solutions
DataCore Software, is a supplier of virtualisation infrastructure and storage management software. Global Storage will bring to market both DataCore's SANsymphony™ and SANmelody™ software. DataCore's products provide solutions that enable users to easily expand capacity, continuously protect and enhance access to data, and to centralise and automate storage administration for Windows, UNIX, Linux, MacOS, VMware, and NetWare systems.
DataCore's SANmelody disk server software provides Fibre Channel (FC) SAN users as well as iSCSI Ethernet based IP networking users with a range of storage features including business continuance failover, remote disaster recovery, fast disk-to-disk backups, "boot" from SAN for blade servers, and automatic disk space provisioning.
