Yellow Machine Gets EMC Backup

April 4th, 2006: Anthology Solutions has announced that it has added EMC’s backup and recovery software support to its Yellow Machine Network Attached Storage (NAS) device.

The Yellow Machine is a compact solution for SMB’s who need an uncomplicated Storage Area Network (SAN). With an eight-port Ethernet switch, RAID, a WAN router, double firewall and capacities ranging from 1Tb to 2Tb, Anthology thinks it is a compelling solution for under $2500. And now that it has EMC Retrospect Professional software support, up to six machines can be safely backed up simultaneously.

“As small businesses and home users increase the volume of their data storage, rapid and simple tools are needed to reliably backup vital data with ease and automation,” says Don Chouinard, Director of Product Marketing for EMC Retrospect. “The combination of EMC Retrospect and the Yellow Machine makes it an attractive appliance for the market.”
