April 13th, 2006: EMC has extended its professional services capabilities to include a managed services portfolio. EMC says this help from its personnel onsite will enable more cost effective management of information infrastructure and improve storage operations.

Services seem to be all the rage at the moment, with EMC and Brocade both announcing new service initiatives.

EMC says its expertise and best practices, combined with IT infrastructure library (ITIL) best practices for storage management provide the appropriate level of managed services for businesses.
