Gateway take a second stab at NAS

Gateway has announced it is to make another foray into the Network Attached Storage (NAS) market, but this time with its own products.

The company, which had previously started reselling Maxtor's NAS hardware back in April 2001 but discontinued sales later that year after failing to achieve significant sales, is now set to introduce disk enclosures, tape libraries and NAS.

Scott Weinbrand, general manager, systems and networking products group, said that Gateway would introduce serial ATA drives and iSCSI links later in the year.
