Pauls pours content into Centera

EMC Corporation recently announced Pauls Limited as the first Australian customer of its Centera content addressed storage (CAS) solution.

Organisations worldwide have cited EMC Centera’s ability to provide long-term content integrity, and its tight integration with existing infrastructure applications as main drivers for purchasing the solution.

Pauls, an Australian manufacturer of branded milk and dairy products, purchased EMC’s Centera CAS in December 2002 because it was an affordable, full-featured, long-term solution for its fixed content archiving.

Steve Redman, Managing Director, EMC Corporation Australia and New Zealand said, “Pauls' adoption of Centera can be attributed to the convergence of two very significant forces currently influencing IT: the emergence of fixed content as the number one information type being created by companies and the increased regulatory focus on records management and retention. Centera is specifically designed to address both of these issues and organisations, like Pauls, are responding.”
