PrintSure Gets FTP Support

April 21st, 2006: Databasics is putting the word out that Dev Zero G has released a new version of its PrintSure web-to-print portal with FTP Support.

PrintSure can now upload verified PDF files straight from the PrintSure desktop client to any FTP server. Settings are still controlled from the central PrintSure server and are updated live on the desktop client.

PrintSure also includes an autocorrect module which automatically fixes common PDF problems before they are uploaded to the server. Dev Zero G says this helps ensure all jobs are accepted and nothing is ever rejected.

The company also says that the next major release of PrintSure will include support for JDF workflows, the first web-to-print solutions to do so.

“PrintSure will be able to deliver PDF files into a JDF-enabled workflow enabling customer-to-press automated JDF workflows out of the box,” says Michael Dewhirst, Dev Zero G CTO. “Pre-flight profiles, pre-flight reports, job details submitted by the user and other details will be added to JDF files by PrintSure and then fed to JDF workflow systems to seamlessly integrate PrintSure with them, without the need for any bespoke programming.”
