Legal aid WA & SA update enterprise apps

TechnologyOne has announced it will be working with the Legal Aid Commissions of Western Australia and South Australia to modernise their Legal Aid Grants Management system.

This deal follows the custom development implementation for the Legal Aid Commissions of Victoria and New South Wales. TechnologyOne originally developed code for Legal Aid Queensland 10 years ago.

The Australian enterprise software company has now developed comprehensive systems for Legal Aid Commissions in five states, helping the organisations streamline their processing of legal aid grant applications and grants management.

TechnologyOne Executive Chairman Adrian Di Marco said TechnologyOne had worked closely with the state government bodies to develop systems around their needs.

“The solutions meet the needs of five of the Australian Legal Aid commissions and we believe they would also suit the remaining three,” Mr Di Marco said.

“These specialist systems handle millions of dollars across thousands of legal cases every year.

“The opportunity for ongoing collaboration with our customers is very valuable.

“We are looking forward to ideas and feedback so we can continue to invest in these systems and keep ahead of technology trends and evolving customer needs.”

The systems also incorporate management of client records and the invoicing of fees and disbursements from legal professionals.
