Ephesoft announces technology partnership with OPEX

Cloud capture startup Ephesoft is teaming up to deliver its open source platform in partnership with mailroom automation vendor OPEX.

OPEX scanning products capture "out of the envelope" with a single human touch, while Ephesoft mailroom automation solutions automatically classify, separate, sort and extract data from documents in paper, fax and electronic formats.

"Given our focus on mailroom automation, it just made sense for us to partner with OPEX for our Enterprise Edition," said David Talarico, senior vice president of sales and marketing in the Americas for Ephesoft.

"The OPEX AS7200 and DS2200 are best-in-breed for capturing incoming paper documents right in the mailroom or from back files."

The solution is designed for processing invoices, mortgages, orders, claims, or medical records. The Ephesoft product is 100 percent web-based and has no initial license fees, promising faster ROI than traditional capture systems. The OPEX devices reduce or eliminate document prep costs usually associated with traditional auto-fed scanners.

"We're very excited to be working with the industry veterans at Ephesoft," said Mark Smith, director of strategic alliances for OPEX. "We see cloud-based data capture as a growing trend in this industry and we believe that customers continue to look for both features and value when choosing to modernize their document capture platform. The combination of OPEX and Ephesoft will provide a great ROI to customers."
