SNIA ANZ Pulls in NetApp

August 7, 2007: On a mission for further channel management experience, the Storage Networking Industry Association for Australia and New Zealand have appointed Scott Morris from NetApp to its Board of Directors.

With steady experience in the channel community, Morris looks set to bring this experience to the SNIA ANZ board. Given new members provide the baseline for fulfilling most storage networking solutions, the Board says Morris will be given the task of improving the value proposition for membership.

Jacob Van der Eyk, chairman of SNIA ANZ says the Morris will assist in influencing the SNIA thinking to the needs of the channel community and therefore back to the end user.

“The appointment of Scott Morris strengthens our Board and reinforces our commitment to the broadest possible representation of the storage community,” says Van der Eyk.

Morris has worked with NetApp for over three year, building on his experience at developing the channel model by driving up business in traditional vertical markets like banking, finance, healthcare and education.
