Open Text has acquired Operitel Corporation, a company specialising in social and mobile learning management and capabilities that integrate with SharePoint.

“Given the scale of content and process management solutions we’re providing to global organisations today, integrated e-learning is becoming an integral part of the high value solution we provide,”  said John Shackleton, President and Chief Executive Officer of OpenText.

“This acquisition will complement and extend OpenText’s solutions, providing award-winning LMS functionality to our global customer base. Operitel customers benefit from access to the resources and stability of Canada’s largest software company.”

Operitel’s flagship product, LearnFlex Learning Management System,is used s to deliver, track, and validate internal learning across organisations. OpenText says these learning services are especially critical for ensuring timely compliance with organisational and industry-specific regulatory requirementst.
