ASG Software Solutions has released a new product to provide integration between business applications and SharePoint 2010, as well as enterprise archiving capabilities.

The  ASG-Total Content Integrator (TCI) for SharePoint 2010 aims to deliver improved SharePoint governance and compliance,as well as enhanced business process controls.

It integrates multiple department-level SharePoint deployments  with content repositories for other business applications- finance/accounting, customer relationship management, warehouse management, records management, etc.

SharePoint users can be granted access to employee- and application-generated content throughout the enterprise via the familiar SharePoint user interface.

“A challenge for many organisations with multiple Microsoft SharePoint deployments and other business applications for customer service, finance/accounting, inventory management, etc., is having separate silos of geographically-dispersed content that very likely have relationships to one another,” said Erin McCart, ASG product marketing.

Using Microsoft's SharePoint Designer, Business Connectivity Services (BCS), and ASG Web Parts, the ASG-TCI for SharePoint solution can integrate and deliver enterprise content within any SharePoint page.

ASG-TCI is also able to transform any data stream into the appropriate format for delivery across multiple channels, from SharePoint, SharePoint Online, other portals, native viewers, and more.

It integrates with other ASG products that can provide archiving and records management.
