Acaveo enhances File Analysis platform

Acaveo has announced the release of Smart Information Server version 3.2, an update to its File Analysis technology for management of unstructured data and access rights. Acaveo says the new release includes additional features for enhanced insight and manageability of unstructured data in file shares, SharePoint, email and cloud repositories.

According to many analysts, a typical organisation’s growth in unstructured data storage is between 40-60% annually.

Major new features and enhancements in Smart Information Server 3.2 include:

  • New search and interrogation filters for pinpointing items that have been changed or where unique permissions exist within the environment;
  • New reporting capabilities to present the full breakdown of file types, message classes and SharePoint content types;
  • Enhanced visualizations and interrogation features of access rights, including expandable views of nested entitlements on sites, folders and data;
  • Support for TITUS Message Classification and TITUS Classification for Microsoft Office;
  • Customizable analytics for presentation of data distribution leveraging metadata; and
  • New offline mode for consulting partners to separately perform analysis.
