Hyland, creator of OnBase, has announced the acquisition of substantially all of the AcroSoft enterprise content management (ECM) business from Interactive Intelligence, Inc.

Acquired by Interactive Intelligence in 2009, AcroSoft offers ECM-focused software solutions to the insurance marketplace. Hyland’s acquisition of AcroSoft adds approximately 50 insurance organisations to its more than 500 existing global insurance providers.

Founded in 1991, Hyland is an Ohio-based software company with 2,100 dedicated employees. Its single enterprise information platform, OnBase, combines the capabilities of ECM, case management, business process management (BPM) and capture on a single platform.
