OpenText updates Exstream for HTML5

OpenText has released an upodated version of the Exstream customer communication management (CCM) solution it recently acquired from HPE. The new version includes capabilities that enable users to create responsive, mobile-ready content; generate robust, interactive charts; perform controlled in-context editing; and better handle PDFs.

“OpenText Exstream helps businesses connect digital communications with traditional channels through HTML5 and responsive email capabilities, supporting shared content and design objects,” said Muhi Majzoub, EVP of Engineering for OpenText.

This latest release of OpenText Exstream includes new capabilities  such as:

  • Improvements in HTML email output, to scale, collapse or hide content when viewing on small screens and devices.
  • Generate robust interactive JavaScript charts for mobile and web channels, or use an image of the same chart for PDF output, using new advanced chart add-ins.
  • Perform controlled “in-context” editing directly in the targeted layout for the communication, including email, PDF or print, with OpenText Exstream’s updated thin-client, browser-based Exstream Empower Editor 2.0.
  • Gain PDF handling improvements with support for internal PDF hyperlinks, PDF/A-2a, PDF/UA and Page-Piece Dictionary indexing; and dynamically import HTML with formatted text, tables, images, and variable content.

OpenText Exstream 9.5.301 and Exstream Empower Editor 2.0 are available now.
