New Head Honcho for HP StorageWorks

May 29, 2007: HP has announced that it has hired a new senior vice president and general manager of its enterprise storage business.

Former chief executive officer of Hitachi’s Data Systems Corp., David E. Roberson’s new position at the head of HP StorageWorks will see him driving the business towards “new opportunities for growth worldwide” according to HP.

Robertson will take over from former StorageWorks head Bob Schultz after his promotion to senior vice president and general manager of the newly formed HP Enterprise Server and Storage Software organisation.

He will report to Scott Stallard, senior vice president and general manager of HP Enterprise Servers and Storage.

"We are fortunate to have an executive of Dave’s stature to run HP StorageWorks. He is an accomplished industry veteran with considerable expertise in all areas of business leadership," said Stallard.
