Arctera Aims at Defensible Compliance

Arctera has added automated controls and response workflows to its Unified Platform to achieve defensible, audit-ready compliance.

The release is aimed at connecting compliance signals, controls and response workflows in a single, evidence-driven process. Arctera says this helps organisations build a more complete and defensible record of compliance activity.

Compliance teams are increasingly expected to show what they found, how it was investigated, whether controls worked and why decisions were made. As regulated communications spread across more channels, that record becomes harder to assemble.

Regulated communications capture now extends across LeapXpert mobile messaging channels. Arctera has also added native collection for LSEG Messenger.

End-to-end reconciliation validates records from source to platform. This is designed to identify missing or delayed data earlier.

Legal hold notifications improve visibility into preservation workflows, which Arctera says strengthens defensibility.

Review enhancements include file attachments within reviewer comments. For eDiscovery, one-click inline translation is intended to preserve context during investigations.

Enhanced reporting includes reviewer activity, hot words and roles reports. These are designed to help teams understand policy signals, strengthen oversight and demonstrate compliance activity.

"Modern compliance depends on being able to connect the evidence behind every decision," said Soniya Bopache, SVP and GM at Arctera.

"The pace of change will not slow, and compliance programs need to keep up with evolving working practices. The processes behind compliance have become just as important as the policies themselves."

Why the gaps matter

Arctera says critical context is becoming scattered across organisations as AI advances and regulated communications move onto more channels and systems.

Mobile messaging is a particular concern for regulators in financial services. LeapXpert provides compliant capture for business use of consumer messaging apps, while LSEG Messenger is widely used for communication between financial market participants.

Reconciliation addresses a different risk. If records fail to arrive from a source system, or arrive late, the archive may appear complete when it is not. Checking source against platform is designed to surface those gaps before they become a problem in an audit or investigation.

Legal hold notifications address the preservation side, giving teams visibility of when custodians have been notified and what is being preserved.

Arctera describes the release as part of a strategy to move organisations beyond point-in-time compliance towards connected, evidence-driven governance.
