January 23rd, 2007: FileMaker has opened up a new online portal featuring a series of guides to help SMBs manage and integrate business data better.

Called the “DIY Depot”, the new website features has debuted with three guides to help small businesses make better use of FileMaker Pro and their data.

The company says that the guides “How to Integrate FileMaker Pro with Microsoft Office,” “Taking Control of Your Inventory” and “Creating a Shipping Solution” help business streamline processes, make more informed decisions and require no prior database knowledge or programming experience to implement.

“How to Integrate FileMaker Pro with Microsoft Office” is a 45-page guide that outlines several ways to integrate business data between a FileMaker database and Microsoft Office applications, while “Taking Control of Your Inventory” clocks in at 44 pages and outlines the role of inventory management. “Creating a Shipping Solution” is a 34-page guide that demonstrates how to create a FileMaker Pro database that tracks shipments and creates customised mailing labels.
