Vanglobe Picks Pronto ERP

January 31st, 2007: Enterprise resource planning specialist Pronto Software has cracked open the bubbly after scoring a meaty deal with Queensland’s Vanglobe to implement its Pronto-Xi ERP system.

Vanglobe is a major manufacture of rotational moulding powder for use in the construction of commercial water tanks. Due to rapid growth, the company was searching for a new ERP system to give its management a clearer picture of its manufacturing operations and overall performance.

“We needed a package to give us complete control of the business, and be much clearer about what was going on throughout our manufacturing sites,” says Vanglobe Chief Financial Officer Paul Clarke. “We also wanted a ‘one system, one vendor’ scenario, and not have to rely on any third party suppliers.”

“The key reason we chose Pronto-Xi was the ease of use to enable us to cope with our expansion. As we grow to a $100 million company, Pronto-Xi will be able to scale with us,” he added.

Clarke says that the Queensland Manufacturing Institute suggested Pronto, after evaluation the company went for a fully integrated ERP system taking in shopfloor manufacturing, manufacturing planning, financials, distribution, an executive information system, quality management and laboratory capabilities.

“Manufacturing is a key market sector for us and it is one that we continue to aggressively pursue,” says Pronto Managing Director, David Jackman. “It is not only rewarding to assist companies such as Vanglobe grow their business, but to be recognised by the State’s leading manufacturing body as a player in the industry.”
