June 19, 2008: Enhance Technology has released the UltraStor RS16 FS, a dual Fibre Channel 4Gbps storage system boosted by a 64-bit hardware architecture.
It offers built-in SAS expansion ports and manageability through Enhance Technology’s WebGUI remote storage management via web browser.
The 2.0 release has added new collaboration tools, enhanced tagging, RSS feed subscriptions and management, colleague tracking features and content mash-up capabilities.
It can be populated with a mix of SAS or 3Gb SATA disks to deploy tiered storage that meets the increasing demands of large transactional databases.
The UltraStor RS16 FS is compatible with industry standard SFP interface with copper or optical connection, hot-swappable drive trays, redundant power supplies and cooling fan modules, and is designed to operate in performance, mission critical, and data-intensive network environments.
Dynamic data expansion up to 80TB is available through daisy-chaining four more optional RS16 JS JBOD units to form large RAID storage. The UltraStor RS16 FS is available from $A8499 (inc. GST).
