NetApp And CommVault Partner Up On Storage

JULY 25th, 2006: NetApp and CommVault have signed an agreement to deliver CommVault Galaxy Express Backup & Recovery software with the StoreVault S500 network storage appliance.

StoreVault, a NetApp division, and CommVault are teaming up to enable high-performance backup in heterogeneous network storage environments that consist of multiple operating systems, protocols and networks.

The solution is targeted towards Small to Medium sized Businesses who desire flexibility in their storage options. The companies claim the solution is designed to evolve with businesses as they grow An upgrade with an ‘unlock’ license key from Galaxy Express to the enterprise-level protection offered by CommVault’s full-featured Galaxy Backup & Recovery is included.
