Nov 10, 2005: With a view to helping customers migrate to and optimise their storage and information infrastructure for the new Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database platform, EMC Corporation has announced a suite of new solutions, professional services and software support designed to make better use of SQL Server 2005's new scalability, availability and security capabilities.
EMC is showcased its bag of information lifecycle management (ILM) goodies to thousands of Microsoft customers and industry partners earlier this week at the launch event for SQL Server 2005. The new solutions and professional services cover upgrading and migration, database layout and recovery optimisation.
Solution Suite for SQL Server 2005 for example, incorporates EMC networked storage platforms, software and professional services help customers accelerate migrations and optimise their SQL Server 2005 information infrastructures. Services for SQL Server 2005 on the other hand is a professional service utilising EMC's leading Technology Solutions organisation and network of Microsoft-certified EMC Velocity channel partners who are trained to provide customers with best practices design and implementation expertise for their information infrastructures.
