EMC and Bearingpoint strengthen ties

Nov 1, 2005: Management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint and EMC Corporation have announced that they are expanding their relationship to include the development and delivery of specialised services and technology solutions to help customers manage and protect business information throughout its lifecycle.

The two companies have worked together for over 7 years now, and during that time have expanded to include a series of information lifecycle (ILM) solutions. These solutions include EMC-BearingPoint Framework Integration Services and Mortgage Loan Origination Solution, which respectively help clients integrate storage management capabilities into their overall IT environment, and more efficiently process loans.

"EMC and BearingPoint have specialised capabilities that can help our mutual customers better manage their information," said David Goulden, EMC executive vice president, customer operations. "Our latest collaboration around framework integration services and the development of a mortgage loan origination solution combines those capabilities to help our customers improve business processes with minimal operational risk and maximum business benefit."

EMC-BearingPoint's Mortgage Loan Origination solution in particular is being designed to help clients in the financial services industry fundamentally change the way they process mortgage loans.

Managing this information throughout its lifecycle was traditionally a paper-intensive and highly manual process. According to EMC and BearingPoint, their solution enables companies to reduce time and costs and improve productivity when processing loan applications by helping users improve loan cycle times and eliminating paper wherever possible.
