Iron Mountain Expands RM Capabilities

May 19, 2008: Information protection and storage specialist Iron Mountain has acquired records management and information destruction provider DocuVault, bolstering its records management capabilities.

DocuVault provides records storage, secure shredding and data backup services, and until the acquisition was the largest privately owned records management and information destruction company in Colorado.

As part of the deal, Iron Mountain also gains two records storage facilities and a secure shredding plant.

“We view acquisitions as an important component of our overall growth strategy, and we will continue to seek out opportunities that enhance existing operations or expand our geographical footprint and service portfolio,” said John Kenny, Iron Mountain's executive vice president of corporate development.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
