Feb 16, 2005: Three new lasers printers have been released by Fuji Xerox, including colour laser printers for medium-sized businesses and the enterprise, which promise to print documents more quickly whilst also delivering higher picture quality too.
The Docuprint C2535A is a single-pass A4 duplex colour laser printer, which Fuji Xerox believes will blitz the general office market by providing increased office productivity through faster print speeds and higher quality prints in colour or monochrome.
It is designed for printing drawings and documents with fine text, graphics, maps, presentations or photography.
Phaser 5500 is a high-end A3 black and white laser printer, which, according to Fuji Xerox, packs all the power needed to break through even the most demanding productivity barriers with speed and ease.
It has an output speed of 50 ppm in simplex and 50 impressions per minute at duplex, which means that the Phaser 5500 is designed especially for large departments or workgroups where high print volumes, tight deadlines and complex applications are a priority.
Paul Harman, the regional sales manager for Fuji Xerox Printers, explained the benefits of these printers in more detail: "Since businesses have had connection to the Internet, they have expected high quality colour print outs to be available at an instance.
"These new printers ensure that all kinds of businesses can now have high quantities of coloured pages printed out quickly with very good quality too. These new releases take us from being a niche player in the market, into the arena of being a provider of high quality printing for businesses of any size.
"The high quality of our technology sets us apart from our competitors."
In addition, Fuji Xerox has released its first printer for small businesses, which is called the DocuPrint C525 A. It delivers 25 ppm speed for black and 5 ppm for colour and gives users the opportunity to replace their old generation monochrome printers with a state-of-the-art higher-quality colour solution.
Harman believes that this printer will become the product of choice for the SOHO market and is the only colour laser printer of its class to offer standard network connectivity.
