Swiss Army Knife carries office documents

Nov 4th, 2004: The infamous Swiss Army Knife is renowned for being a crucial pocket friend for many explorers on small or big expeditions, but it now has the ability to also carry important documents, audio and videos too.

The SWISSMEMORY USB Victorinox has been released by Swissbit to provide an interface between the Swiss Army Knife and any USB memory port, featuring a capacity of 256MB and 512MB and a high-speed USB 2.0 Controller.

The SecureLOCK software is programmed on the SWISSMEMORY USB Victorinox to offer security for personal data. It allows the user to password-protect private data.

In addition, important data that needs to be available all the time can be stored for up to ten years.

Swissbit says the small Swiss memory stick is very ease to use because it can simply be inserted into a free USB port allowing external storage to be made available within a few seconds.

The Swiss Army Knife integrates numerous useful tools and is available in two versions: one with a stainless steel knife, scissors, a file and a screw driver; and the other without these tools, to carry when travelling on planes. Both versions include a pressurized pen and a red LED mini light.

The SWISSMEMORY USB Victorinox can be used with any Windows 98SE, Windows SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Mac OS 9.0 and higher and Linux 2.4 and above device equipped with a USB port.
