StorageTek and Veritas unite services

A global agreement has been launched between StorageTek and Veritas to provide customers with one point of contact when they need immediate help and support for their storage systems.

Joint customers of the two companies will be able to take advantage of the agreement, to allow quick resolutions to any problems.

StorageTek has staffs that are fully trained in ANZ to deliver support services for Veritas products. In addition, Veritas products are completely integrated into the established StorageTek service infrastructure.

Philip Belcher, the managing director for StorageTek Australia and New Zealand said: "Increasingly, customers are looking for ways to reduce their administrative workload, particularly when it comes to support services.

"Veritas storage management software is in use at a large percentage of StorageTek's own customer base. This agreement allows us to offer those customers the experience and skills of StorageTek's acclaimed customer service organisation for the support of both the companies' products, reducing the number of service providers that the customer must interface with."

This agreement will allow StorageTek to deliver its own storage and networking hardware and provides it with the ability to deliver professional services for Veritas products as well as Veritas education services.
