Rejuvenation service for failing systems

A new firm has been launched to bring back to life damaged and failing business units in storage networking and communications companies so that they can be used to deliver positive growth in these companies.

Garnett & Helfrich Capital believes that there are many under used assets that do not still need to be in some companies or have been abused.

This company aims to release these business units from companies with annual revenues between US$20 million to $100 million, this is because these companies do not need to acquire any more systems and could need some help with making the most out of the systems they already have.

Some analysts say that this idea could proof tough when it comes to dealing with storage networking material such as Fibre Channel switches and directors.

However, older products, such as RAID subsystems, are perceived to be much easier to fix because people always need a basic solid storage system.

Garnett & Helfrich Capital aims to target customers who are usually ignored and figure how to deliver improved services to them.

It sees storage, LAN and WAN networking, carrier services, semiconductors, and enterprise software as the most promising sectors to go into.

The firm has raised US$250 million to deliver the rejuvenation service.
