Taxing issue of compliance solved

Australian software provider 80-20 Software has secured a deal with the Australian Taxation Office, which will see it provide its Leaders Online technology to manage and publish internally governance questionnaires and underpin the implementation of a comprehensive internal compliance assurance framework. 80-20 Software specialises in fully integrated corporate governance, risk management and compliance software.

The Tax Office, with over 20,000 employees Australia-wide, needed a system that would build on existing compliance capabilities and provide the ability to assure and report on regulatory and policy compliance across the organisation.

Matthew Cahill, assistant commissioner of Corporate Directions at the Tax Office said that “the Tax Office sets and expects high standards of conformance with statutory and non-statutory obligations. The Tax Office approached the marketplace for a solution and selected 80-20 Software because they represented the best value for money for the Commonwealth.”

Mark Ross, CEO of 80-20 Software, commented: “We are very pleased to add the Tax Office to a growing list of Australian and US companies that have chosen to deploy our product for governance and compliance. We believe large complex organisations like the Tax Office are attracted to our solution because we are the only provider of an effective and purpose built tool that delivers real value for corporate governance and compliance efforts.”
