Heightened security for Internet banking

Internet banking users can now expect to be better protected against hackers who install programs which invade personal computers and steal online banking passwords.

AvailSoft has announced the availability of its new AS Anti-Hacker software, which can be inserted alongside the usual virus checker to provide full protection.

Jacky Ying, CTO of AvailSoft Corporation Limited in Hong Kong, said that people often believe that it is the bank's responsibility to keep their online banking secure, but this is not always the case.

He said that people are usually very shocked when they are shown a demonstration of how easy it is for hacker software to intercept passwords and credit card details, even when using a secure line.

"They do not realise how easy it is for hackers to bypass their own virus protection and secretly install software that can steal their passwords from them.

"Just search for "Hackers Programs" on the Internet, you will find thousands of hacker programs for sale. Many are capable of bypassing anti-virus software and firewalls."

The AS Anti-Hacker uses the advanced technology of Password Entry Protection Gate (PEPG) to safeguard users from the infiltration of new and other previously unidentified hacking tools.

It contains the most comprehensive information about the latest tools used by hackers for online banking crimes, so this allows it to automatically find and remove these programs before they money is lost.
