Verari gears up for storage partnership

Blade server technology provider Verari Systems has signed an OEM agreement with Engenio Information Technologies (formerly LSI Logic Storage Systems), which will see Verari Systems co-brand and sell Engenio's complete line of Fibre Channel and Serial ATA (SATA) storage subsystems.

Verari Systems, which also changed its name from RackSaver earlier this year, decided to make the push into storage, as most of its customers buy storage to attach to its blade servers.

“Since Engenio is an acknowledged leader in enterprise class modular storage, this agreement will further enable Verari Systems to deliver on its mission to provide complete, high performance systems for the world’s leading corporations and research institutions,” said Verari Systems CEO David Driggers. “Engenio’s modular SATA and Fibre Channel storage technologies are ideally suited for our customers' needs where high performance, lower cost of ownership, scalability, manageability and availability are critical.”

Dave Mooney, Engenio General Manager of Worldwide OEMs, added: “Both Engenio and Verari Systems are committed to providing solutions with higher performance, excellent reliability and lowest possible total cost of ownership needed for the most demanding data and compute intensive applications.”
