Higher quality image editing

The new Cumulus Photo Suite allows users to manage RAW image files, which are "digital negatives" of excellent quality.

It can read these files from over 80 digital camera models, including Canon, Fuji, Kodak, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Sigma, Sinar and Sony.

Ulrich Knocke, Canto's senior product manager, said. "With Photo Suite, Canto again maintains its leading edge with the number of supported formats.

"Our customers welcome the concept we already introduced with Office Suite, which is to optimise the powerful Cumulus product family by providing solutions that are tailored to the individual needs of certain user groups without stressing other customers with features they don't need or additional costs."

EXIF information, which includes camera settings and shutter speed, can also be captured when cataloguing with Photo Suite.

In addition, previews of RAW images can be enabled easily, users can read and edit the captured metadata conveniently and the RAW format of images can be converted to TIFF or JPEG files on-the-fly with the Pixel Image Converter from Cumulus.
