Victoria boosts its eServices panel

The Victorian Government has added another 26 new companies to its services panel to help it select companies for contracted work from a list of pre-approved suppliers, relieving the bureaucratic burden faced in the past.

The Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Marsha Thomson, announced that these 26 companies will be added to the panel of 160 existing eService panel members after the government carried out its recent refresh process.

Thomson said. "These companies will now have the opportunity to share in up to $30 million of the Victorian Government's ICT investment over the next three years after being selected to the newly 'refreshed' eServices panel.

"This year's eServices panel includes companies that have been able to demonstrate quality processes and indicate an alignment with the Victorian Government's CMMI Level 2 accreditation goals."

"We've also included new sub-categories application development in J2EE and .NET to respond to emerging demands in government."

These companies will have the opportunity to develop partnerships with government departments, showcase work and find it easier to engage with the Victorian Government.

The panel members were picked because of their expertise in a wide range of technology services, including eServices strategy, web development and online management. It aims to support the continued development of electronic service delivery across all government departments.
