Interwoven improves marketing management

Interwoven has launched the first ever Marketing Content Management solution to help companies control the distribution of marketing content to front line sales staff and customise content to meet the needs of specific prospects, distributors and local markets around the world.

The MediaBin Asset Server 5.0 software will be used at the heart of this new Marketing Content Management Solutions Suite to provide better ways of creating, managing and publishing marketing content.

Richard Collins, the managing director of Interwoven explained why there is a need for this suite. "The challenge of brand stewardship - the systematic development, management, and maintenance of brands - is now complicated by the need to manage and adjust brands on a global basis. Further complicating the situation are complex sales channels consisting of direct and multi-tiered distribution, an explosion of communication channels from print to Web to mobile devices, and ever-contracting product release cycles."

Steve Kimball, general manager of marketing solutions at Interwoven added. "Fierce competition continues to drive companies to launch products and promotions faster and to invest more resources in their brand. To facilitate effective brand stewardship, marketing organisation need solutions that enhance the development and distribution of marketing content."

Key features of this solution include a central library for all marketing "assets" including photographs, logos, audio and video, datasheets, advertisements, presentations and documents.

These assets can be converted into renditions that meet specific needs of users and their projects. These can also be easily updated and historical copies can be preserved too.

It allows sales and marketing teams to create catalogues and brochures in a personalised format for the specific needs of each customer.
