Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions provider Canto has invented a new approach to digital asset management customisation that it says will help system integrators to cut their development and maintenance expense by at least 50 percent.
Canto has named the technology Embedded Java Plugin, or in short, EJaP.
Based on the Java technology environment, Canto has modified its native applications and designed its jsp -based Internet solutions so that system integrators can write their applications once, and then can run the same implementation on the Internet as well as in the native Cumulus applications, running on Solaris Operating Environment,Linux, Macintosh or Windows.
"Many companies out there still have good reasons to choose native applications, while the Internet has its obvious advantages for certain solutions too. The way systems integrators can now build cross-platform solutions with EJaP, customer solutions will become more integrated, powerful and complete," says Jennifer Neumann, CEO of Canto.
"We have consciously chosen Java as the basis for our new technology, because of its broad market success and superior technological approach. Furthermore, it is the only true cross-platform approach available, something that has been clearly demanded by our customers."
