Snap selects NCR for worldwide managed services

Network-attached storage (NAS) provider Snap Appliance has selected NCR to provide its managed services in Australia and New Zealand as part of a worldwide agreement.

As well as the Asia Pacific region, which is the largest of Snap's customer bases, the partnership will cover the North American and European regions.

NCR's managed service offerings will bring business intelligence to the management and operation of IT infrastructures, providing global information technology, help desk and maintenance services to Snap's installed base of over 130,000 units across the globe.

According to Snap, the announcement reflects its commitment to provide its customers with the resources, flexibility and knowledgeable staff they need to maximise their investment in Snap storage solutions. Among the service offerings available to Snap's customer base as part of the deal will be a 24x7 global help desk, global parts depot and on-site maintenance support.

"This strategic partnership with NCR is designed to create more value for our customers," said Randy Gast, vice president, Snap Appliance Worldwide Service and Support. "Our mission is to create a superior customer experience characterised by innovative technology, measurable business value and peace of mind.  With dedicated NCR engineers around the globe supporting the Snap Server product family, customers are empowered with the necessary resources to maximise their investment in our technology."
