NetApp appoint new Australia/NZ chief

Enterprise network storage provider Network Appliance has appointed Simon Green as managing director for Australia and New Zealand.

Green moves up from southern region manager to assume his new role. He will report to the previous incumbent, Michael Burnie, who was recently promoted to the newly created role of managing director, South Asia.

Michael Burnie, who announced the appointment of his successor, commented: "Simon's promotion was the logical and well deserved next step for him and the company, following his very successful two-and-a-half years at the helm of our Melbourne-based Australia (Southern Region) and New Zealand operation.

"During that time, he made a major contribution to our company's growth, not least in the banking and telecommunications markets where we now enjoy a very significant and rapidly growing presence."
