Storage software vendor Veritas has announced that its SANPoint Control storage resource management application will now work across a number of different storage environments including IBM and EMC.
Veritas is pitching the SANPoint Control application at the heterogeneous data centre market. The application will now support IBM's AIX operating system, as well as Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX and Sun Microsystems Solaris environments.
Amongst the multi platform enhancements to the application is the ability to visualise the Shark ESS and EMC Clariion disk storage arrays, support for the IBM eServer p-Series of servers and zoning for the INRANGE FC/9000 storage area network (SAN) switch.
SANPoint Control 3.5.1 is available now with a US price of $20,000.
