New man to head professional services

José Alba has joined the local division of StorageTek as the new manager of its Storage Services Program in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Alba will be responsible for the company's strategy and marketing in the storage services area and will develop StorageTek's remote managed services division; this role will also see him push the company's desire to be a "trusted advisor" through its professional services.

Prior to joining StorageTek Mr Alba was with the local branch office of EMC in their professional services division. In his 16 years of working in IT, he has also worked for IBM Global Services in the Business Recovery Services group and for Telstra.
