TRIM ARRM disposals

Retention and disposal schedules from the Australian Record Retention Manual are now available in a format that can be imported into the Tower Software document management solution TRIM.

Information Enterprises Australia and Information Enterprises Australia , both from West Australia, developed the format for the Australian Records Retention Manual (ARRM) in an effort to improve the manual.

"One of the ways that we knew would improve the manual was to convert the Retention & Disposal Schedules into a format that was compatible with the TRIM record keepingsoftware," said Shirley Cowcher, the director of Information Enterprises Australia.

The latest version of TRIM follows the same format for both the series numbers and descriptors. TRIM uses the "Date 1" field; by entering a date into the "Date 1" field, the custody and disposal triggers are then calculated automatically.
