Intercept Info & the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages
In the November/December, 1997, issue of Image & Data Manager, an article appeared concerning a tender document for a major imaging contract to be awarded by the New South Wales Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
This tender has been withdrawn by the Registry so it can "further investigate the options available to the Registry", says Registrar Trevor Stacey in a letter to the editor of Image & Data Manager (published this issue).
Following publication, we have also been advised that one Australian imaging service bureau, Intercept Information Solutions, did comply with all aspects of the original tender. In fact, Intercept's submission provided the Registry with answers to questions not covered in the tender, and contained information and examples that assisted the Registry in its reconsideration of the tender.
Further, the managing director of Intercept, Mr John Zeller, has stated that while the article may have implied that he agreed with comments from representatives of other companies quoted in the article, this was incorrect and that Intercept is committed to providing all Australian organisations with the highest level of service.
