Antivirus software protects LANs
Trend Micro has upgraded its InterScan virus protection system for corporate networks.
InterScan VirusWall NT 2.5 has changes to the auto cleaning system, with the new version now cleaning FTP and Web-sourced files in real time.
A redesign of the product allows administrators to monitor any scanning that is taking place at the Internet gateway.
The anti-virus software has been designed to protect internal LANs from viruses hiding in email attachments, Web documents and FTP transfers, including zipped and emailed files.
It can be installed inside the LAN, between the gateway and the firewall or outside the firewall.
It costs $1579 for 25 seats. Contact Trend Micro; phone 02 9959 1970.
